Flow 2 (Patronage) Pre-Sprint Repair Checklist
UPDATE 2026-03-22: Live validation completed. Flow 2 is working. All steps below were executed; no repairs were needed. See findings at the bottom of this file.

What This Is
Flow 2 (demo/scripts/flow-2-patronage.sh) produces 404s on three ledger calls. The 404s
are resource 404s from missing/stale demo seeding, not route registration failures.
The ledger routes exist:

The script hardcodes BRIGHTWORKS_NODE_DID and requires reseed-federation-demo.sh to
have been run against the current cluster. Pod rebuilds change the DID.
Pre-Conditions
- K3s cluster is running (k3s-control at 10.8.30.40, workers at .41/.42)

Checklist
Step 1 — Verify cluster is up

If pods are down, start the cluster before continuing. This checklist assumes running pods.
Step 2 — Verify NodePort routing

Step 4 — Run reseed if needed
If the cluster was rebuilt or entities are missing:

Watch for the DID values it outputs. The script should print the seeded DIDs.
Step 5 — Update hardcoded DID if pods were rebuilt
flow-2-patronage.sh has a hardcoded BRIGHTWORKS_NODE_DID at line 50:

Compare the hardcoded DID to what reseed-federation-demo.sh produced. If they differ,
update the script:

Step 6 — Test the ledger routes directly

Step 7 — Run flow-2 end-to-end

Distinguishing Seed Failure from Route Bug
If step 6 still returns 404 after seeding:

If ALL of the above pass and ledger routes still 404 consistently, then escalate to route-registration investigation in server.rs. That would be a new finding that changes the scope estimate.
Success Condition
Flow 2 repair is complete when:

This does not require a perfect end-to-end patronage demo — governance steps in the flow may still have their own state requirements. Success condition is limited to the ledger route 404 issue being resolved.
What This Does Not Fix
- Flow A (WASM compute) — no script exists, authoring work, Sprint 24 optional track
- Flow B (discovery) — no script exists, authoring work, Sprint 24 optional track
- Coverage CI — separate infrastructure decision, not addressed here

Conclusion
Flow 2 is unblocked. No repair was needed.
The "FRAGILE, ledger routes 404" characterization in the Sprint 23 demo-path doc was incorrect. The s23-t10 subagent read historical script warning comments (scope gaps resolved 2026-03-18) as evidence of current failures without running the script. No 404s were observed in live testing.
Sprint 24 opens without Flow 2 as prerequisite debt.
